Bypass valve, which is used for supplement of steam trap function is also indispensable.

 

Bypass valve is used for discharging a lot of condensate rapidly on behalf steam trap when steam system start-up and discharge condensate when steam traps are destroyed and are in survey. It is installed in parallel with steam trap.

 


Usually, the bypass valve is closed, but installed bypass valve should be surveyed as well when steam leakage is suspected. In the result, it could be that only bypass valve is steam leakage or both steam trap and bypass valve are steam leakage. In this reason, it gradually tends to perform bypass valve survey.
